Anytime Fitness: Reaching a Healthier Place
Tina Bradford and her husband, Tom, opened an Anytime Fitness location at Promenade on Providence in 2014 out of a desire to help people improve their health.
“So many are lacking in health in our society and don’t know how to be fit, so it just felt right to start the business,” Tina says. “We’re all about people finding out what their health goals are and reaching them. We do everything from one-on-one personal training to fitness consultations to team workouts.”
Anytime Fitness is a health and fitness club that opens an average of 300 new gyms per year while serving 4 million members in nearly 5,000 gyms in 40 countries. Its gym facilities are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Members have access to a wide variety of equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, free weights and stair climbers, as well as yoga, spinning and Zumba classes, among others.
Tom Bradford has been self-employed since 1998 as a general contractor at Bradford Construction & Design Inc. Tina also worked for the business, which remodels homes by turning unsightly bathrooms and kitchens into beautiful living spaces.
The Bradfords chose Promenade on Providence for their Anytime Fitness location because they knew the population in south Charlotte was growing rapidly and there was no exercise studio in the area quite like what they had in mind.
“Anytime Fitness has been a great fit because Tina and Tom deliver a uniquely customer-focused fitness concept that reflects the community we strive to create at Promenade,” says Jan Pugh, regional property manager at Childress Klein, which manages the retail center.
Tina Bradford agrees. “They invite people to come do things, so it’s not just a shopping center,” she says. “It’s an experience. They have movies and concert series in the summer, a Christmas celebration in December and trick-or-treating at Halloween. It’s very inviting to be part of that.”
The Bradfords take that friendly vibe and bring it straight into Anytime Fitness. Their two Shih Tzu fur babies, Gizmo and Gadget, are often roaming around to put a smile on the faces of those striving to lead healthier lives.
“We care about who’s in the gym,” she says. “Everyone is always made to feel important. We say it’s pleasingly personal.”Share:
